Yeah nowadays I just change lanes when I see a hint of that coming through. Been through it too many times. Life is too short.

Okay, I’m going to be that guy, especially since I have a 16-year-old who is learning to drive. Had it been me, I would have fully expected him to do just that. While I probably would have made it close so as to try and make my point, I wouldn’t have made it that close. I think it’s better to lift and let assholes like that go than to prove your right of way by having a collision.

The car came completely out of its lane. I thought at first this was a merge but the red car has its own lane. I respectfully disagree with the assumption that the red car can’t stay in its lane.

I get you. Ordinarily I’d adjust to avoid/ make things easy because that is the nice thing to do. I didn’t in this case because this guy was going ~10 - 20 MPH slower than I was... which was odd considering he is the one getting off the highway. I fully expected him to be an idiot, but I didn’t expect it immediately . Most people make a cursory car length of travel in their own lane before merging without looking. It was, in part, bad judgement on my part. Play stupid games...
